About The Art
Panduh has always been passionate about art, whether it was creating it, collecting it, or just simply admiring it. For so long she worked in places with less than creative atmosphere, so when she decided to open Safe Space, she knew that had to change.
During the pandemic, art shows and festivals were cancelled, leaving artists with very few places to sell their works. Panduh decided to use her walls as free space for Artists to display and sell their work.
There are always between 15 and 18 local and semi-local artists displayed at Safe Space, and all of them receive 100% of the sale price of each piece of art your buy. How does this work? You pay the artist directly. Once the Safe Space Staff sees the electronic receipt (Venmo, Paypal, Cashapp), you get to take your artwork home that day, unlike most galleries.
On top of that, Safe Space adds your transaction amount to a tally, and at the end of each fiscal quarter, 15% of that tally is donated from Safe Space to the LGBTQ Center of Durham.
Safe Space Salon cares about the community! Come be a part of ours.
